Park Town is a course first introduced in Ridge Racer V.
Course information[]
Park Town is the first course introduced to players in Ridge Racer V's Grand Prix mode. A new entry in the game's reimagining of the original Ridge City, the course is a simple figure-8 course set predominantly within Ridge City's Trading Square. It is the simplest course in the game, being composed mainly of straightaways and having only a few turns that require drifting. Its length, however, may make catching up to the frontrunners difficult, especially with lower cars and in higher difficulties.
Trivia[]
- The original course layouts for Seaside Route 765 and Ridge City Highway in games before Ridge Racer V featured cars starting along an extra road which is then blocked off after the first lap. By Ridge Racer V this portion of road is no longer used as the starting point for these courses but was instead repurposed as a portion for this course and its extension, Above the City.
- The course also reveals where the road split in the original Ridge Racer courses' first tunnel leads.
- This course, along with the four other new courses in Ridge Racer V, have never appeared in any other Ridge Racer game, despite the fact that Seaside Route 765 and Ridge City Highway have appeared in their Ridge Racer V iterations in succeeding games, with the former even being redesigned again for Ridge Racer 7.
